Lift Trucks’ personnel mentors and works with a group of students from Escuela de Artes Plásticas y Diseno, a local art school. Work on the murals is underway, and the first mural is expected to be completed this summer.

Work has begun with volunteer students from Escuela de Artes Plásticas. The young artists helped with a variety of tasks, including the selection of colors and patterns for the mural paintings. This opportunity was used to mentor the students, by sharing professional experiences and teaching them about various career paths open to artists. The collaboration with the Escuela de Artes Plásticas is just the first example of the ways in which Paseo Caribe’s ongoing cultural programs will reach out to and involve the local community.

A collaborative art show of student artworks was held in the studio setting, curated by Sofia Maldo and Lift Trucks.
