Tex Rowe’s (1921-2009) flash page design is very distinctive. The centerpiece gypsy and the images radiating out are stunning. His sheets can be deemed authentic by the “8-Ball” numbering system it seems only he employed.  His clean style is reminiscent of Joe Leiber, Bob Shaw, Sailor Jerry and others and has served as an inspiration to generations of tattooists. Before settling down as a tattoo artist Tex lived a colorful life as a circus animal handler, sideshow barker, and arms dealer.
