This is an antique pencil drawing on very old paper- probably late 1800’s to 1910 from an unknown hand. It’s a page from an itinerant sketchbook, likely English. Often times these types of images were stencil tracings but this is not. It is pencil on non-transparent heavier stock paper.  We especially like the center mermaid figure with the liquid haunting eyes. It looks like someone else liked her as she got the “okay”- a symbol meaning “all korrect”  (misspelling included) which came into use around the 1840s. The checkmarks surrounding some images usually indicated the number of times the tattoo was employed.
